A manufacturer of glass reinforced concrete products was able to win a substantial contract with a large rail company who construct rail tunnels.

The contract consisted of supplying concrete panels to line the walls of the tunnels.

The health & safety of the employees was paramount to this company and due to the size of concrete panels being manufactured, Met-Track^® was contacted to assist in the design and manufacture of a new system to handle the tools required for this manufacturing process.

Met-Track^® achieved this by introducing the use of overhead traveling tool rails that suspend the tools and associated hose, cables and balancers which has resulted in a quicker, easier and safer process.

Two floor mounted traveling tool rail systems each containing two tool rails with a 125Kg SWL were installed to handle this process.

Another part of this project was to supply a Met-Track^® workstation crane system to assist in the loading of the concrete mixing stations in the center of the factory.

Met-Track designed, manufactured and installed a floor mounted crane system containing three bridges each with a safe working load capacity of 500Kg and an electric hoist unit capable of doing not only the day to day loading of the mixing units but also the removing of parts for cleaning and lifting of equipment in the event of a breakdown.
